4 Virginia dispensaries for medical marijuana patients to shop at

0 41

Since becoming the first southern state to legalize the consumption of marijuana in 2021, a number of dispensaries have been opening up shop around Virginia. Although recreational weed sales are still not legal, the dispensaries are catering to medical marijuana users.

To shop at one of these dispensaries, a written certification from a qualified practitioner is needed. The Virginia Cannabis Control Authority offers guidance on how to become a medical marijuana patient here.

Once you’ve obtained your certification, consider shopping at one of these four dispensaries with locations throughout the Commonwealth:

RISE Cannabis

RISE Cannabis has six Virginia locations that offer marijuana to Virginia medical cannabis patients looking for everyday relief. It sells a range of high and low-potency THC and CBD products — including flower, vapes, and edibles from brands like RHYTHM and Good Green — that are good for both beginners and cannabis connoisseurs.

RISE offers a free membership that allows customers to earn points that are redeemable toward future purchases. A point is earned for every dollar spent. Be sure to check out the current deals, like buy two get one free. Additionally, veterans and seniors who are 65+ receive a 10% discount.

A medication card is needed for all patients.

Cannabist

Cannabist says that it’s passionate about creating a space where all are welcome and only the best products are on the shelves. In selling its products, it follows three simple principles: a higher standard, a higher knowledge, and a higher calling.

A higher standard means that it focuses on providing better products and services. A higher knowledge means that its team members are constantly learning so that they can help guide their customers. A higher calling means that it wants to inspire those who walk through its doors to explore the world of cannabis and what it can do for one’s pain and spirit.

Some of the products it sells include Hedy cannabis-infused edibles and Classix flower, pre-rolls, and vapes.

Patients must bring a medication certification and a Virginia driver’s license or photo ID along with proof of a Virginia residency.
