No trick! These free Las Vegas Valley and Henderson Halloween events are a sweet treat for the whole family.

Despite its frightening reputation, Halloween is a family-favorite holiday in Las Vegas. Locally, Halloween events and fall activities cater to people of all ages throughout the month.

If you’re looking for more kid-friendly, less hair-raising ways to celebrate Halloween, read on. From parades and festivals to storytime and trunk-or-treating, this guide to safe Las Vegas Halloween events is not only good for families, but also no trick, everything is free.

Parades

Halloween Parade of Mischief

Where: Downtown Summerlin, 1980 Festival Plaza
When: 6 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 3-25

The annual Parade of Mischief is back for a march of madness down Park Centre Drive at Downtown Summerlin. Universal Horror Unleashed is organizing this year’s parade.

Halloween Golf Cart Parade

Where: Lake Las Vegas, Henderson
When: 6-10 p.m., Oct. 31

Celebrate Halloween lakeside with the annual Halloween Golf Cart Parade and other festivities at Lake Las Vegas in Henderson. Come early with kids (4 p.m.) for carnival games, a pumpkin patch, and a trunk-or-treat.

Carnivals, fairs, and festivals

19th Annual Safe Night (Halloween)

Where: UNR Extension, 2280 McDaniel Street, North Las Vegas,
When: Oct. 1, 6-9 pm.

Halloween Safe Night will have trick-or-treating, storytime, live music, a Halloween costume contest with prizes, and chef-made treats.

Fall-O-Ween Fair

Where: Enterprise Library
When: Oct. 18, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

The Fall-O-Ween Fair is a fun and festive event featuring games, prizes, live performers, crafts, costumes, a costume contest, a roving magician, balloon twisting, face painting, and cotton candy.

Spooktacular Halloween Carnival

Where: Whitney Library
When: Oct. 18, 2-5 p.m.

Enjoy crafts, costumes, carnival games, slime making, prizes, and other Halloween excitement at this Spooktacular Halloween Carnival.

Halloween Carnival

Where: Paseo Verde Library
When: Oct. 24, 6-7:30 p.m.

Dress up in costume for a fun Halloween Carnival full of spooky stories, games, and activities in the library lobby.

Asteroid M Halloween Block Party

Where: Carolyn G. Goodman Plaza, Las Vegas Civic Center, 525 S. Main St.
When: Friday, Oct. 24, 6-10 p.m.

You’re invited to a block party with live music, visual artists, food trucks, and a Halloween costume contest with prizes. 

Parktober Fest

Where: Silverado Ranch Community Center
When: Oct. 25, 4-8 p.m.

Enjoy bounce houses, face painting, carnival games, and onsite food trucks (for a fee), followed by a movie after the sun goes down at Parktober Fest.

Harvest Festival

Where: Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Las Vegas, 6670 W. Cheyenne Ave.
When: Oct. 25, 3-6 p.m.

Held annually in the northwest part of Las Vegas, the church Harvest Festival includes a trunk and treat, games, food, music, a photo booth, and a magic show.

Halloween Bash

Where: 123 S. Water Street, Henderson
When:  Oct. 25, 6-8 p.m.

Water Street Halloween Bash activities include pumpkin painting, a costume contest, cookie decorating, a dance party, Halloween games, and a screening of the family film, “Casper.”

Boo Bridge

Where: Cambridge Recreation Center
When: Oct. 27, 4-6 p.m.

The family-friendly Boo Bridge event includes games, a trunk-or-treat, and other fun Halloween activities.

Once Upon a Walnut

Where: Walnut Recreation Center
When: Oct. 28, 6-8 p.m.

Once Upon a Walnut fun includes a candy trail, games, prizes, and inflatables for jumping.

Haunted Harvest

Where: Centennial Hills Library
When: Oct. 29, 4-7:30 p.m.

At this event, you can investigate a murder with Detective Finn Fox and solve it to win a prize. Dress up like a detective or in Victorian wear. There will also be a haunted conservatory maze, creepy crafts, movies with a ghost, trunk-or-treating, and face painting.

Third Annual Fall Festival

Where: East Las Vegas Community Center
When: Oct. 30, 5-8 p.m.

This is a community celebration with a pumpkin patch, performances, train rides, games, music, crafts, costumes, and vendors.

Ready, Set, Spook Festival

Where: Meadows Library
When: Oct. 30, 3-5 p.m.

Get ready for the Ready, Set, Spook Festival with events like pumpkin decorating, crafts, and a trunk-or-treat in the parking lot.

Hallow Harvest Festival

Where: Bob Price Recreation Center
When: Oct. 30, 6-8:30 p.m.

Celebrate the season at Hallow Harvest Festival with a trick-or-treat trail, costume contests, bounce houses, games, and food.

Halloween Safe Night

Where: Pearson Community Center
When: Oct. 31, 5-8:30 p.m.

Instead of going door-to-door, safe activities at this event on Halloween include trunk-or-treating, bouncing on inflatables, games, live music, face painting, and arts and crafts, plus a costume contest.

Movie screenings

Halloween “Hocus Pocus”

Where: Huckleberry Park, 10325 Farm Rd.
When: Oct. 4, 5 p.m.

The Hocus Pocus fest is a mixed bag of Halloween activities and food trucks, culminating in a showing of Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” on the grassy field at dusk. 

Halloween “Hocus Pocus” II

Where: Bruce Trent Park, 8851 Vegas Drive
When: Oct. 10, 6 p.m.

Enjoy an evening filled with Halloween activities and food trucks, including a showing of Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” at dusk.

Tween spooky movie: “The Halloween Tree”

Where: Clark County Library
When: Oct. 10, 4-5:15 p.m.

A classic for the spooky season, “The Halloween Tree,” will be screened for children and teens, ages eight and up.

“Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!”

Where: Gibson Library
When: Oct. 19, 5-7 p.m.

Grab some Scooby Snacks and the family for “Happy Halloween Scooby-Doo!

Movie in the park: “Hotel Transylvania”

Where: Mountain Crest Park
When: Oct. 24, 8-10 p.m.

This is a free movie night with Clark County Commissioner April Becker.

Arts and crafts

Halloween Craft Cafe

Where: Sunrise Library
When: Oct. 20, 3-5 p.m.

The Halloween edition of Craft Cafe will offer Halloween-themed crafts for kids and teens, ages 8-17.

Teen Fridays: Halloween Crafts

Where: Walnut Recreation Center
When: Every first and third Friday in October

Check out Halloween Teen Fridays for workshops, recreation, social activities, special events, and field trips for teens aged 13-17. Snacks included. Dress casually for crafting and painting.

Halloween Craft Buffet

Where: Clark County Library
When: Oct. 24, 4-5 p.m.

Get your fill of spooky crafts at the Halloween Craft Buffet, for ages six and up.

Toddler Crafty-ween

Where: Sunrise Library
When: Oct. 28, 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Catering to young ones between 18 months and three years, Toddler Crafty-ween provides an hour of Halloween crafts. Costumes are encouraged.

Critters and Crafts

Where: Clark County Wetlands Park, 7050 Wetlands Park Ln.
When: Oct. 31, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Hang out with a live tarantula and other creepy crawly animals at this drop-in family event. There will also be a storytime, and kids can make a bat craft to take home.

Gather your flock and head to the Bird Viewing Preserve for Spooky Birds 2025, an evening of feathered frights, crafts, trick-or-treating, and a ride on a Bird Mobile. Costumes are encouraged.

A Not-So-Creepy Puppet Show

Where: Rainbow Library
When: Oct. 30, 4-5 p.m.

Kids of all ages are invited to attend A Not-So-Creepy Puppet Show, a whimsical evening of puppetry, quirky characters, and Halloween magic.

Candyland Halloween

Where: Sahara West Library
When: Oct. 22, 11 a.m.-noon; 4-5:30 p.m.

Candyland Halloween is fun for babies and kids, ages 0-5.
