8 celebrities who own mega mansions in Nevada
From Céline Dion to Nicolas Cage, these eight celebrities have owned mega mansions in Nevada.
Nevada has a long and rich history, which, when combined with popular tourist destinations like Las Vegas, attracts many people, including numerous celebrities. Of course, celebrities also want to call Nevada home because many of them work in Sin City, whether through concert residencies or sports games. So, while you may not necessarily see celebrities at Las Vegas’ best dayclubs and nightclubs—we can’t blame them for wanting some alone time after performing or playing so much—you may be calling a celebrity neighbor and not even realize it.
Naturally, with celebrities and their burgeoning wallets come expansive mansions that many of us mere mortals can only dream of. Zillow reports that the “average Nevada home value” sits at just over $440,000 in 2025, but, of course, we’re not here to talk about standard single-family homes. No, we’re here to take a closer look at eight celebrity-owned mansions that cost millions (and you can tell).
1. Céline Dion still lives in Nevada but sold her massive house for $30 million
Céline Dion might be Canadian, but she’s a national treasure in the U.S. as well—and she seems to happily call Nevada home. Now a resident of Henderson, according to Heart, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer lived in Las Vegas until a few years ago, when she raked in $30 million for her giant mansion.
In recent years, Dion has been suffering from stiff-person syndrome, which was why her performance at the 2024 Olympics in Paris was so special. It’s unclear whether she moved to Henderson for health-related reasons, but what is clear is that selling her house was a massive payday. According to Architectural Digest, Dion purchased the newly constructed mansion for a little over $9 million in 2017, but tripled that amount in her 2023 sale. The outlet further noted that Dion sold it off-market, making details about the acquisition even murkier.
Nestled inside the Summit Club private community, Dion’s mansion was three levels and contained over 45,000 square feet of space, if you take into account the estate’s underground garage. Included in that space are 12 bathrooms and four bedrooms, and, of course, there’s a pool and spa on the property—as any good megamansion should have. That’s not at all, though. It also features its own waterpark, giving the property a Great Wolf Lodge vibe. Still, Dion seems to be happy in her smaller Henderson home, even going all out for Christmas 2024 with plenty of fake snow (via Hello! Magazine).
2. Mike Tyson’s Nevada mansion cost a very small fraction of his lifetime boxing earnings
Mike Tyson is one of the best boxers of all time, and he has the stats to show it. For example, he’s 50-6 in professional fights, which is an enviable record for any boxer, and according to Sports Illustrated, his boxing earnings come out to $400 million—and that’s not including any non-boxing paydays. That’s why it might surprise you to hear that his mansion in Henderson, Nev., only cost him $2.5 million, per the New York Post. Today, however, it’s worth more than $4.5 million, according to Zillow’s estimate.
Purchased in 2015, the home features seven bathrooms and six bedrooms, all situated across a total of 10,400 square feet. The estate is said to feature Italian architecture, which, if you ask us, is beautiful on Nevada’s sunny desert backdrop. Other features include coffered ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, stone fireplaces, and marble flooring, per the New York Post.
Anyone would be lucky to call Tyson’s home, well, home, and it would seem that he feels lucky to live there, too. His acquisition was the final nail in the coffin of years of having trouble overspending, and with his house now appreciating in value, he can now call this Nevada mansion a smart investment—and thank his 2015 self.
3. Carlos Santana sold one of his Nevada mansions in 2021
Hailing from Mexico, longtime guitarist Carlos Santana has lived in Nevada for many years, and he’s even owned several properties simultaneously in the Silver State. He has his main residence, which he hasn’t budged on, and then he has a property that appeared to be an investment home, with whether he ever actually lived in it remaining unclear. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the “Maria Maria” musician acquired the home for about $2.3 million in 2019 but sold it in 2021 for $2.7 million. Zillow’s estimates show that if he’d waited a couple of more years, he could’ve scored a bigger payout, as it’s worth $3.7 million today.
At the time of the sale, Santana’s manager, Michael Vrionis, confirmed that the musician wasn’t leaving the Vegas area, only selling this single property. “He doesn’t even have a whisper of a plan to move,” Vrionis told the outlet. But just what did the sold property boast? Well, by all accounts, this estate is smaller than other mansions on this list, sitting at $4,618 square feet. Constructed in 2016, the home features three bedrooms and four bathrooms, which may seem small at first glance, but the property appears spacious and luxurious. It has a lot of natural light and high ceilings, which make it feel extra light and livable.
Even though it is smaller than other homes on this list, at least the occupants can say that their property was once owned by a legendary musician. Now that’s something to savor!
4. Nicolas Cage has several pets in his “goth” Nevada mansion
Nicolas Cage might be known for films like “Ghost Rider” and, more recently, “Longlegs,” but his home is the most similar to his role as Spider-Man Noir in “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” Appearing on “60 Minutes” in 2023, Cage’s house was described as “part Goth-cathedral and part avant-garde gallery,” per People. Based on the “60 Minutes” footage, Cage’s home appears to be quite dark and mysterious, and his pets only add to this allure. Cage has a gray cat, which seems normal, but then comes the knowledge that he also has an African crow and a “black dragon.” On the latter, he said, “He’ll get to be about 6 feet long. He’s like having a real dinosaur in your house. It’s kind of amazing.”
More specific details about Cage’s mansion, like its square footage or special features, haven’t been revealed. However, the “60 Minutes” footage does let viewers see a pool table, a large fireplace, and expensive-looking furniture. Even without knowing the mansion’s exact number of bedrooms, we can tell that this house is a sleeper hit on best-celebrity-homes lists.
5. Wayne Newton’s Nevada mansion is over 50,000 square feet
Wayne Newton has been electrifying Sin City for decades, putting on show after show as Mr. Las Vegas. And even now, in his 80s, he’s not stopping. According to John Hart Real Estate Redefined, the performer is still performing, and his 57,056-square-foot home—only including the central building—is on the market for many millions of dollars.
The word “mansion” is pretty flexible, but in this case, Newton’s property was so big it might as well have its own zip code (we’re only partially joking). It’s so large that it opened as a tourist attraction, known as Casa de Shenandoah, from 2015 to 2018. However, Newton himself has stated that those days are behind him and he no longer wants anything to do with the property (via the Las Vegas Review-Journal).
In addition to the main building, Casa de Shenandoah features more than 100 cars fitted into a car museum, horse stables, a horse hospital, an airport terminal, a zoo, and so much more. As of mid-2024, the estate was listed for $31.3 million.
6. Criss Angel outfitted his Nevada mansion with many magical touches
Criss Angel, known for the TV series “Criss Angel Mindfreak” and later as a Las Vegas fixture, has lived in Sin City for years, and while it’s unclear if he still lives in the same property he once showed off on “MTV Cribs,” the estate was equally stunning and unique. As seen in a clip from the 2009 episode posted to the MTV Vault YouTube channel, the expansive property features 22,000 square feet, including five bedrooms and a whopping nine bathrooms—perfect for large gatherings. The house has large ceilings and gothic details, including black doors that harken back to centuries-old cathedrals. (Present-day Nicolas Cage would be proud.)
As Angel walks the MTV crew through his not-so-humble abode, he introduces his crew and explains that his property has a name: Serenity. From there, viewers get a glimpse into his interior design style, which features numerous black accents and a cross that, according to Angel, originated in a Spanish church in the ‘30s. His style seemed to be pretty unique, but not all viewers agreed. “I recently heard how so many rich people in the 2000s insisted on decorating their homes to resemble Cheesecake Factory restaurants. That’s about right,” one person commented on the YouTube clip. Since when does the Cheesecake Factory have TVs that turn to face you, a spacious theater room, or a dazzling pool under the Nevada sun?
7. Steve Aoki spent millions flipping an auction house
Steve Aoki’s father founded the legendary chain restaurant Benihana, but Aoki didn’t need to go into the family business to make a name for himself. No, he’s been a booked DJ for years, and his booming music career afforded him the opportunity to flip a house at auction into a home he would dream about returning to. According to Forbes, Aoki desired a home in which he’d spend more time, so he relocated to Las Vegas after acquiring his 16,000-square-foot home for $2.8 million at auction in 2013.
That was only the beginning of the journey, though, as it wasn’t in the best condition—at least for Aoki’s taste. “I just put millions upon millions into the house over the course of a couple years,” he explained to Architectural Digest in 2017. One of the most-interesting tidbits from this interview, however, is that Aoki prefers his space to be exactly how he likes it for his own taste without wanting any outside approval—to the point that he clarified, “I don’t like bringing that many people over. If I don’t know them, they’re not coming over. I have too much art, too many things.”
Aoki’s whimsical house features foam blocks that he can jump into, a skateboard ramp, an indoor hammock, a graffiti-covered stand-up shower, a beautiful stone bathtub, an indoor swing, and an immersive home music studio, among other distinct traits. “It’s the only house you’ll ever find that looks the way it looks,” he added to Architectural Digest, and he’s absolutely right. We know he doesn’t like having guests over, but we can only hope that he opens it up for tours at some point because it’s a full work of art from top to bottom.
8. Derek Carr left his Nevada mansion behind for New Orleans
Athlete Derek Carr is a remarkable success story, transitioning from college football to a successful career in the NFL. Although originally from California, the quarterback played for the Las Vegas Raiders for a while before being traded to the New Orleans Saints, the team he remains with today. This move meant needing to sell his Las Vegas home, which he did in the fall of 2024.
The athlete’s former property features a main house and a smaller guest house, with the main house measuring just over 8,600 square feet and the guest house at approximately 1,000 square feet (according to the Las Vegas Business Press). The central house, situated in the Southern Highlands neighborhood, contains nine total bathrooms and seven bedrooms, while the guest house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Altogether, the estate sold for $8.55 million (despite Carr asking for $8.99 million), and Zillow still lists this sale number as its worth.
Zillow also indicates that the property features a sizable pool, as well as a sports area located behind the guest house, which includes a basketball court. If that weren’t nice enough, the house has three fireplaces for when the desert nights get a touch too chilly. If we were Carr, we’d miss this property before we even locked the door for the last time.
