These gluten-free restaurants provide tasty options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that are full of flavor—without the gluten.
Just because some folks have had to give up gluten doesn’t mean they have to sacrifice incredible food. We’ve put together a list of eight gluten-free restaurants across Pennsylvania that gluten-free eaters and those with celiac disease credit with giving them real options in a world that seems designed around gluten. Note that while we’ve worked to highlight dedicated gluten-free restaurants, you should confirm before ordering and let your server know about any and all allergies or sensitivities.
1. Round Corner Cantina – Pittsburgh (Allegheny County)
This Mexican restaurant in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville is a hidden gem, in that though Round Corner Cantina (also known as Esquina Cantina) doesn’t advertise itself as a “gluten-free restaurant,” the entire food menu is free of gluten! After all, most of the ingredients used in Mexican cooking—rice, beans, and maize (corn) are naturally gluten-free. Dishes are influenced by traditional Mexican fare and include street tacos, classic plates like enchiladas and carne asada, and a wide variety of appetizers paired with “g.o.a.t. salsa.” The cantina also has a full bar with craft cocktails—and a beer “crafted to remove gluten.” Plus, according to Lindsey on Yelp, it’s also home to “one of the best outside patios Pittsburgh has to offer.”

2. Little Radish – New Hope (Bucks County)
Little Radish in New Hope’s Ferry Market is a food hall vendor featuring health-focused but delicious breakfast and lunch options. The restaurant is “gluten free as possible,” according to its Facebook page. So you can munch on hearty soups, colorful salads, and gluten-free bagel sandwiches to your heart’s content. Take it from Sara on Google Reviews: “I have celiac disease, so eating out is usually a nightmare. But this spot is safe for me and super tasty.”

3. Stone Row Pub and Eatery – Jim Thorpe (Carbon County)
Stone Row Pub and Eatery promises “plenty of gluten free” options on its website, but according to the gluten-free restaurant site Find Me Gluten Free, the owner reports that the entire menu, save beer, is entirely free of gluten. In addition, Stone Row is committed to allergy-friendly practices so that everyone can eat at the restaurant regardless of diet; allergens like soy and dairy are all marked on the menu. “It was refreshing to know I could order anything on the menu and share with my non-gluten-free family,” joannehagy said on Find Me Gluten Free, adding “All the food had great flavor and the homemade bread was delicious!” Homemade gluten-free bread? Yes please!
4. Yo Mama’s Kitchen – Quakertown
Yo Mama’s Kitchen is a 100% gluten-free kitchen operating within the Quakertown Farmers Market. The restaurant, which opened its doors late last year, has the same hours as the market, allowing you to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. According to Chris on Facebook, the restaurant opening was “a dream come true for celiacs!” You can order from a wide menu of classic comfort food with options like traditional breakfast, hot sandwiches, and a big selection of desserts!

5. Okie Dokie Donuts – Philadelphia
Philadelphia has many delicious donut shops, but the artisanal donuts at Okie Dokie Donuts in South Philly are entirely gluten-free! They’re also handmade. The cake donut flavors change monthly, and you can expect fun options like limonada or peach chai. Some options are also made with yeast, like the Boston cream and dulce de leche glazed donuts. But Okie Dokie Donuts also has you covered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a selection of savory food like breakfast sliders, hot sandwiches, and corn dog donuts. 6. Fox & Son Fair Foods – Philadelphia
Located in Philly’s Reading Terminal Market, Fox & Son Fair Foods lets you savor classic fair eats without actually having to go to the fair. You can get made-to-order corn dogs (including fun versions like Korean-style), funnel cake, fried cheese curds, and hand-cut fries. And amazingly, all of these nostalgic foods are 100% gluten-free! 7. Real Food Eatery – Philadelphia
According to Kelly on Yelp, Real Food Eatery is the “literal healthiest ‘fast casual’ restaurant in Philly… [and] the quality of the food is on par with fancy pants upscale restaurants.” Indeed, the spot quickly serves up fresh, whole foods salads and bowls like lemon za’atar chicken and baked falafel, with delicious and healthy sides like roasted Brussels sprouts and cauliflower with curried tomato. You can be assured of its 100% gluten-free status, as the spot is even listed on the National Celiac Association website.
8. Chellas Arepa Kitchen – Lancaster
Chellas Arepa Kitchen’s signature menu item is its fresh arepas, the naturally gluten-free South American specialty made of fresh cornmeal and stuffed with delicious savory fillings like beans and meats. The restaurant says that everything on the menu is 100% gluten-free, so you can order arepas as well as yummy yucca fries or comforting empanadas without fear of cross-contamination.
