If you’re getting hungry watching viral food videos, you should know the famous spots here in NH! Read on to discover them.
It doesn’t matter if you’re an Instagram fiend, a TikTok phenomenon, or call Facebook your favorite; it’s hard to click on social media without getting restaurant recommendations. For those in the Granite State, these can range from ads for local “hidden gems” to viral sensations making waves well beyond the state’s borders and for people from all over New England.
But what if you’ve fallen out of the loop? That’s okay—we all need to “touch grass” now and then. And you can still enjoy New Hampshire’s favorite social media-famous spots for something to eat! Check out the list below for inspiration, and be sure to arrive with an empty stomach and a fully charged phone!
1. Little Red Schoolhouse
Location: 1994 US-3 West, Campton
If you’re looking for a casual, but still “aesthetic” spot to grab something to eat, you can’t go wrong with Little Red Schoolhouse. This seasonal counter-service restaurant (next opening for the season in May 2026) comes by its name honestly, as it’s housed inside an actual historic schoolhouse! Come inside for a lesson on classic New England seafood, including clam chowder, lobster rolls, and a “Fisherman’s Platter” of fried delights. If you stop by in the evening, you can enjoy the thoroughly post-worthy porch covered in twinkle lights, and four-legged friends are also welcome at the outdoor tables, so doggie influencers, take note!
2. Louie’s
Location: 909 Islington St., Portsmouth
They’re back! After eight years closed, the beloved Louie’s has reopened at last, and Granite State social media users want everyone to know just how good this news is. After a major fire forced this Portsmouth favorite to shut its doors, fans were devastated, but now it’s back and as great as ever! Even if you haven’t seen the viral video clips showcasing the hearty Italian fare at Louie’s, you ought to come on down to try some of it for yourself. House specialties include beautiful pastas, signature seafood, and an impressive wine list to wash it all down.
3. Pickity Place
Location: 248 Nutting Hill Rd., Mason
Where did Little Red Riding Hood, of fairy tale fame, get her basket of goodies? Well, while the story says they were from her mother, illustrations in some editions, specifically the Little Golden Book ones dating from the 1940s, say that Little Red may have dropped in at Pickity Place, and now, you can too! While the historic restaurant, whose premises date back to the 1780s, was used as inspiration for fairy-tale illustrations, today it’s beloved by fans of the “cottagecore” look and those who savor quality cooking. Meals at Pickity Place, which is open only from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., are fixed-price, multi-course affairs with an emphasis on fresh herbs and seasonal produce, perfect for enjoying after a stroll in the cottage gardens!

4. Polly’s Pancake Parlor
Location: 672 Sugar Hill Rd., Sugar Hill
An alliterative name that promises a preposterously pleasant pile of pancakes? No wonder social media is smitten! Since 1938, Polly’s has been serving up stacks of pancakes, eggs and bacon, and other comfort-food delights. While you’re eating, be sure to enjoy the scenic mountain views and take a look at the authentic antique farm tools that adorn the restaurant walls. It all makes for great social media pictures, but an even better meal, and you can even grab some pancake mix and real New Hampshire maple syrup on the way out to recreate Polly’s signature dish at home!
5. Puritan Backroom
Location: 245 Hooksett Rd., Manchester
The historical Puritans weren’t exactly known for social-media-worthy aesthetics or delicious cuisine. Puritan Backroom, on the other hand, has both! This old-school New Hampshire spot has been around since the 1970s, and remains a hit to this day, especially for social media users who enjoy sharing huge portions of classic comfort food. The menu has a slight Greek inspiration, a nod to the Greek-American Pappas family who founded the restaurant, but the most famous dish is the enormous plate of chicken tenders. Wash them down with a sweet, creamy mudslide, also served in a huge, shareable goblet.
6. Red Arrow Diner
Location: Multiple locations across New Hampshire
From social media stardom to actual movie stars dropping in, Red Arrow is absolutely iconic! This retro-style, 24-hour diner has several branches across the state, but their original Manchester branch, which has been in business since 1922, is a favorite with none other than Adam Sandler! You can try his signature burger or his dad Stan’s favorite breakfast on your visit. Or, if you want to shake things up, try a Blue Plate Special, which varies from location to location, and from day to day!

7. Super Secret Ice Cream
Location: 2213 Main St., Bethlehem
Is it a little strange for something that’s a secret to go viral? Maybe, but at Super Secret Ice Cream, they don’t let a little strangeness get in the way of the sweetness! The “secret” behind this cozy, small-batch ice cream shop lies in its origins, as founder Kristina Zontini began quietly making ice cream after work at her desk job. With some help and community support, what started as a tasty side project became a part of Bethlehem and a viral spot for sweet treats! Today, you can find all-natural, handmade Super Secret Ice Cream in original, locally-inspired flavors like Sour Cherry Mahlab, Sweetberry Honeysuckle, and Mount Cabot Maple.
8. The Carriage House
Location: 2263 Ocean Blvd., Rye
One thing social media loves is food with a view, and The Carriage House in Rye offers exactly that. This upscale oceanside restaurant offers delicious seafood, alongside views of the sea! If you’re into the “coastal grandmother aesthetic,” or otherwise want to bask in your Nancy Meyers seaside fantasies, this is the place to be. But even those who are more interested in eating than posting will be happy as, well, clams to feast on The Carriage House’s menu, including delicacies like oysters on the half shell, roasted hake, and hanger steak. Be sure to save room for a slice of trendy Basque cheesecake, or a photographable dessert cocktail like the Pink Squirrel!
9. Woodstock Inn Brewery
Location: 135 Main St., North Woodstock
While the famous Woodstock music festival was in upstate New York, for a modern social-media-famous party, head on down to Woodstock Inn and Brewery! This North Woodstock destination is more than just a brewery. It’s also a restaurant, an inn, and even a wedding venue in the beautiful White Mountains, so it’s no wonder social media is in love! Stop by for a glass of their signature “4000 Footer” beer or another brewery creation on tap, and stay for a meal at the restaurant, which specializes in hearty classics like burgers, nachos, and meatloaf.
