Fort Worth Botanic Garden is hosting a LEGO exhibition from May 22 until September 7. Here’s everything you need to know.

If you’re looking for a fun, affordable way to spend the day with your kids, the Fort Worth Botanic Garden has you covered. From May 22 through September 7, the garden is hosting “Sean Kenney’s Nature POP! Made with LEGO Bricks” exhibit. Artist Sean Kenney crafted 40 different sculptures of animals, plants, and garden scenes using over 800,000 LEGO bricks for the thrilling new installation.

Kenney worked alongside Imagine Exhibitions to come up with designs centered around environmental interconnectedness and the importance of wildlife. An official release announcing the exhibit reads, in part, “The big idea behind Nature POP! is a simple but beautiful one: just like LEGO bricks, everything in nature is connected. Pull one piece away and the whole picture changes. Kenney’s sculptures make that connection come alive — turning a walk through the Garden into a whole new kind of adventure.”

These ambitious sculptures are located throughout the botanic garden itself, making for a one-of-a-kind experience as you find each piece all while exploring the native plants and vegetation sprouting up around them. Kenney created a LEGO piece of a mother bear carrying a cub, a fox slinking about, and a panther getting ready to pounce, just to name a few to keep your eye out for.

Every sculpture is accompanied by a sign with scientific facts about that specific plant or animal to help you and your family learn something new while you’re having fun exploring. The exhibit is included with general admission to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, and we’re going to go over all the details about that with you below.
