From cozy brewery parties in the White Mountains to full-blown festival weekends at ski resorts, New Hampshire knows how to throw a proper Oktoberfest celebration. Throughout the Granite State, festivalgoers can indulge in schnitzel and bratwurst, sip perfectly poured pints, and dance to polka music from late September through early October. What is Oktoberfest?
Oktoberfest is the world’s largest folk festival, held annually in Munich, Germany. The inaugural Oktoberfest took place in 1810 as a wedding celebration, and the event has grown significantly since, with celebrations happening across the globe, including right here in New Hampshire.
Most Oktoberfest events feature traditional German fare, live music, games, and of course, a whole lot of beer.

Here are some of the best Oktoberfest celebrations happening throughout New Hampshire this year:
1. Oktoberfest at Purity Spring Resort
Oktoberfest at Purity Spring Resort features authentic German flavors, seasonal brews, and festive fun—lakeside. At this Oktoberfest gathering, held on Purity Island, you can feast on a traditional German entrée and buffet with classics like Gurkensalat and German potato salad.
If you’re feeling up for it, test your strength in the stein hoisting competition.

2. Moat Mountain Brewing Company Oktoberfest
Moat Mountain Brewing Company, a brewery and smokehouse, is getting in on the Oktoberfest fun with its own event featuring Bavarian food, live music, games, and of course, lots of beer.
Food includes dishes like bratwurst served with hot German bacon potato salad, pork schnitzel, and Polish kielbasa with cheese pierogies and sauerkraut.

3. Lagerfest
Lagerfest, hosted by Vulgar Brewing Company, is a “festival for lager lovers” featuring breweries from across New England pouring their best lagers. You can also enjoy Oktoberfest-inspired food, live music, and a large game of rock, paper, scissors at this 21-and-up event.
Date: Sept. 19
Cost: General admission tickets cost $45, VIP tickets cost $65, and designated driver admission is $15.

4. Schilling Beer Co. Oktoberfest
Schilling Beer Co., a European-inspired craft brewery in the White Mountains, is the perfect setting for an authentic Oktoberfest celebration. This 21-and-up event will feature samples from about 50 breweries from around the country. Your ticket gets you unlimited short pours of all the beers and a festival glass to drink from.
There will be multiple food vendors and a selection of Oktoberfest-inspired sausages, but you can also order from the brewery’s wood-fired pizza menu. Live music will be performed throughout the event.

5. Greenfield Oktoberfest
Settle in for an evening of German eats, beer, and live music at Greenfield Oktoberfest. Your festival ticket gets you a hearty German‑style Oktoberfest meal that includes bratwurst, sauerkraut, potato salad, and dessert (a vegetarian option will also be available). You also get two drink vouchers to use on beer and wine from local breweries and wineries.

Cost: Admission costs $30 for attendees who are 21 years or older and $20 for those under 21.

6. Ledgetoberfest
Ledge Brewing Company’s annual Ledgetoberfest is back for the sixth year in a row, with plenty of great beer and entertainment.
The brewery will debut its Marzen beer at the event, and activities will include favorites from previous years, like the Beer Mile, keg toss, and stein hoist. Local band Diana’s Bath Salts will also perform.

7. Fall Fest 2026
603 Brewery’s Fall Fest 2026 will bring together live music, DJs, food from local vendors, and fun for all ages. This family (and dog) friendly event is an Oktoberfest-themed celebration with a New England twist.

8. Oktoberfest 2026
Mile Away Events, an organization that hosts family-friendly community events and donates proceeds to other groups in need, is organizing an Oktoberfest celebration you won’t want to miss. Get ready for an afternoon of:
- German beer
- Authentic German food
- Live polka music
- Cider pressing (you can help press the apples and enjoy free fresh cider samples)
- A children’s story walk around the pond
- More games and activities for kids and adults
Proceeds from this year’s Oktoberfest will help support MAPS Charter School K-12.
Date: Oct. 4
Cost: Adult Admission (21 years and older) costs $25, while designated drivers and anyone between the ages of 13 and 20 can attend for $15. Kids aged four to 12 get in for $10, and admission is free for those who are three years or younger.

9. White Mountain Oktoberfest
White Mountain Oktoberfest, held at Loon Mountain Resort, is a three-day German party with fun for the entire family.
There will be live Oompah music and plenty of games, including stein hoisting, Oompah chairs, and root beer and keg toss contests. Other activities on the schedule include axe throwing, face painting, and live chainsaw wood carving.
In the Paul Bunyan room, guests who are 21 or older can enjoy a variety of Samuel Adams seasonal beers and shandies and ciders from Angry Orchard and Truly.

10. Oktoberfest at Attitash Mountain Resort
Attitash Mountain Resort’s Oktoberfest event will feature authentic German fare, live music, traditional competitions, and a beer garden menu with more than 20 beers, ciders, non-alcoholic beers, and cocktails. In the Kinderplatz, you’ll find fun for younger festivalgoers, including:
