New York City
Brooklyn Cat Cafe
Brooklyn Cat Cafe is NYC’s only non-profit cat cafe, established in 2016 by the Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition (BBWAC).
This volunteer-run and woman-owned community space spans multiple stories and includes the main cafe area, a kitten room, a separate room for cats with Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), and a low-cost medical clinic.
For $15, you can spend 30 minutes in the main space, or for $50, you can hang out in the kitten room for 50 minutes.
The cafe also hosts unique events, such as one that uses cats as the hook to teach kids science and math topics, from the scientific method to statistics. It also hosts yoga, movie, and comedy nights.
The cafe’s adoption page currently has more than 100 cats available for adoption.

Espurresso Cat Cafe
Espurresso Cat Cafe is home to more than 10 adoptable cats. The cafe, founded in 2025, partners with Purrific Home, a non-profit dedicated to rescuing and rehoming cats.
