The Dallas Zoo announced it will be offering its Senior Sundays discount through Dec. 27. Here’s everything you need to know.
On Monday, The Dallas Zoo announced it will be offering its Senior Sundays discount every Sunday from October 4 through December 27. The extension was made possible through a partnership with Uber.
For those unfamiliar with the exclusive offer, Senior Sundays provide one free senior ticket for admission to the Dallas Zoo when you buy any regular admission ticket. With the Uber partnership comes a secondary benefit: Seniors will receive a discounted price on rides taken to and from the Dallas Zoo when participating in this deal.
Regular admission tickets typically cost between $40-$45 per adult (ages 12-64), and $35-$40 for youths between the ages of three and 11. Members of the Dallas Zoo can also participate in Senior Sundays by opting to add a free senior ticket to their membership admission on those select dates.
The CEO of the wildlife attraction, Lisa New, said in a statement, “We’re thrilled to extend Senior Sundays through December and give even more families the opportunity to spend meaningful time together at the Zoo. We’re grateful to Uber for helping us continue this program and welcome seniors, their families and friends for a day of connecting with wildlife and each other.”
In terms of Uber’s participation, the ridesharing app will set up specific pick-up and drop-off locations at the Dallas Zoo to help people more conveniently get back and forth on the day of their visit.
Uber’s Global Head of Family Verticals, Margarita Peker, said of the partnership, “At Uber, we know getting out and spending time together is an important part of staying connected, especially across generations. We’re proud to partner with the Dallas Zoo to help make getting to those moments easier and give more families a reason to spend a Sunday together.”

Once you select the date you want to visit and populate the next page, you’ll choose how many tickets you need, including seniors. The check out process will proceed from there.
