DFW’s food halls, ranked from best to worst
Discover seven food halls in Dallas-Fort Worth that bring community and high-quality cuisine to the table.
There is something about food halls that makes me nostalgic. It reminds me of hanging out at mall food courts with my friends or the cafeteria in my college dorm—gathering together with friends who are interested in different cuisines but still want to share a table together. Food halls are a grown-up version of this same idea. They are popular in Europe and now, finally, are popping up around Dallas-Fort Worth.
If you’ve ever argued with a significant other about what to have for dinner, or you love trying new foods, then food halls will be your new favorite spot. They offer high-quality cuisine all in one spot, plus most have an added atmosphere that encourages hanging out and having fun.
What are you waiting for? Check out a few of our favorite food halls below!
7. Fort Worth Food Works
Location: 3004 Cullen St., Fort Worth
Hours: Vary
Unlike traditional food halls, Fort Worth Food Works focuses on offering a vast selection of food to go. Search through restaurants or food types on their website, then order for pickup or delivery. It’s impersonal and tech-driven—but that’s exactly why some people prefer it.
“I loved that you don’t have to interact with anyone and can just order and pay via the kiosk,” one local wrote in a Google review. Another wrote, “Love the convenience of walking into one place and having the luxury of ordering food from multiple different restaurants.”
If you’re looking for a food hall concept of the future (or you just need a quick bite to eat in the office), then Fort Worth Food Works will do. But if you want a fun hangout spot to meet with friends, this is not the place.
6. Victory Social Eatery
Location: 2323 Victory Avenue, Dallas
Hours: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Friday
The convenience of Victory Social is part of its charm—it’s located near many music venues, including House of Blues, the Echo Lounge, and American Airlines Center. According to locals-in-the-know, it’s a great spot for your group to meet before a concert or a Stars game.
“Friendly staff, very reasonably priced high quality food and drinks,” one person wrote on Yelp.
Some downsides include the limited number of restaurants available in this food hall, with only seven to choose from. Not to mention, they are only open during business hours and are closed on weekends.
5. Asia Times Square
Location: 2625 West Pioneer Pkwy, Grand Prairie
Hours: 9 p.m.-10 p.m. daily
Looking for a food hall experience with solely Asian food? Asia Times Square is one of the largest Asian markets in Texas, with several delightful options. Grab traditional Vietnamese cuisine, Cambodian and Thai food, Hawaiian-inspired food, Guatemalan coffee, Chinese pastries, Tokyo-style ramen, Mongolian food, and so much more.
“There is so much variety in food that it’s almost the perfect spot to try something new,” one local on Yelp wrote.
It’s not just about food. People love visiting the Asia Times Square to see the shops with “some of the prettiest clothing and unique items you’ll ever find.” Not to mention the supermarket and events.
“When it comes to cultural events and food selection, Asia Times Square is one of the best options in DFW!” another local wrote.
4. The Exchange Hall
Location: 211 S Akard St., Dallas
Hours: 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday; 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday
Located in the AT&T Discovery District in downtown Dallas, the Exchange Hall is a great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner from one of 13 restaurants (plus two full-service bars!). An eastern Mediterranean and Moroccan fusion concept, mouthwatering BBQ, a Mexican taqueria, and other incredible dining options make this a can’t-miss spot.
On Yelp, people praise this as a “really fun place to go and have lunch” and “perfect for a date.”
“This is not your ‘mall’ food court,” someone else wrote. “They have sushi, seafood, Greek delicacies, gourmet waffles, a cake from a vending machine, a full bar, and much more!”
This traditional food hall is situated in a really cool area of Dallas with plenty of space to roam around. It doesn’t have as many live events or music to set the tone, but all in all, it’s a great spot.
3. Dallas Farmers Market
Location: 920 S. Harwood, Dallas
Hours: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. daily
This is not your typical farmer’s market. The Dallas Farmers Market sells local produce in the open-air Shed on the weekends, but The Market is open every day, selling food and artisanal products.
The 26,000-square-foot building features four anchor restaurants, as well as specialty food options and ample seating both inside and outside. It’s an all-around cool atmosphere to grab a bite and enjoy the view.
One local called it “a foodie’s dream and an adventure all in one” on Yelp. “There [are] tons of food, from fresh produce to unique vendors and street tacos that will have you second-guessing everything you’ve ever thought about tacos. The best part? Live music to groove to while you shop, plus areas for kids to play—so everyone’s happy!”
It may not have as many options as other food halls, but it makes up for it with everything else.

2. Harvest Hall
Location: 815 S. Main Street, Grapevine
Hours: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday; 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday
Out-of-towners will love visiting Harvest Hall, located in historic Grapevine and connected to the boutique Hotel Vin.
“Harvest Hall in Grapevine is such a gem!” one happy Yelper shared. “It’s not your average food hall—each vendor feels like its own unique restaurant with amazing food. … The quality is consistently excellent.”
Others praised the “upscale” atmosphere and “clean and hospitable” environment. What more could you want?
Not to mention, the design of this food hall is incredible, as it is built to look like America’s 19th-century rail stations. It has a large central bar, eight restaurants serving everything from Latin street food to Southern coastal seafood, and live entertainment.
1. Legacy Hall
Location: 7800 Windrose Avenue, Plano
Hours: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday; 10 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday-Saturday
Since it opened in 2017, Legacy Hall has been one of the best examples of European-style food halls in the area. (And it’s my personal favorite.) It’s massive—three stories with more than 20 food stalls, five full-service bars, a craft brewery, and an outdoor entertainment venue. Why go anywhere else when everything you need is right here?
I love meeting friends here because no one has to argue over where to eat. Every restaurant serves high-quality cuisine, and there are plenty of tables. It’s especially delightful in the fall, when you can enjoy the cooler weather in the outdoor seating.
Other locals love it as well. One five-star reviewer on Yelp praised the many delicious options here. “Really great variety of food options that lends itself for everyone in your party to find something they can enjoy,” they wrote.
“Legacy Hall in Plano is more than just a food hall—it’s a full-on culinary experience,” another happy local said. “The moment you walk in, you’re hit with an enticing aroma from the wide variety of eateries, making it almost impossible to choose just one.”
You’ll just have to keep coming back to taste everything!
