Fall in love at first bite at the top 10 sandwich spots in Reno
In honor of National Sandwich Month, here are the Top 10 sandwich spots in Reno, according to Yelp.
August is National Sandwich Month, which makes sense since this is also the month when tired parents across the country are cursed yet again with waking up early to make school lunches.
A portable and one-handed food, sandwiches have been a delicacy almost as long as people have been multi-tasking. They really got popular, though, during the 18th century with aristocrats like the Earl of Sandwich.
There are mamny different kinds of sandwiches, from hoagies to heroes to submarines. Essentially, any concoction of 35% cooked meat and no more than 50% bread is a sandwich, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Since there are plenty of beloved of vegetarian sandwiches (the OG peanut butter and jelly, for instance) that USDA definition seems a little shifty. For the purposes of this article, let’s just define a sandwich as anything edible between two slices of bread.
Nevada’s Biggest Little City is a great place to be if you want to celebrate National Sandwich Month. If you want to make sure your sandwich is the best of the best, read on. Here are the Top 10 spots for sandwiches in Reno, based on Yelp ratings.
