With Independence Day just around the corner, Nevada’s skies will soon be booming with colorful fireworks displays. From a celebration in Boulder City to the Philharmonic and fireworks in Reno, here’s where you can see the most dazzling displays of the 4th of July in the Silver State.

The best fireworks display in Boulder City

Damboree

Where: Veterans’ Memorial Park
When: Starting at 9 a.m.

This full day of fun events starts with a pancake breakfast, followed by a flyover by the Boulder City Veterans Flying Group, as well as a parade, food and games, and a fabulous fireworks show ($20 per vehicle).

The best fireworks displays in Henderson

Party at the park

Where: Henderson Heritage Park
When: Doors open at 6 p.m.; fireworks at 9 p.m.

A huge celebration with free live entertainment, food vendors, and family activities, this is the perfect basecamp for viewing all the Henderson fireworks displays, including:

Downtown Las Vegas

When: 9 p.m.

Hotel guests will watch the show from the hotel’s rooftop pool. Non-hotel guests can watch from street level on Main Street, between Carson and Ogden avenues. The hotel promises this year’s show will be its biggest one yet!

Now at a new location, this fundraising fireworks display for Nevada Rural Counties seniors includes a golf tournament, live music, dinner, and VIP fireworks viewing (from $175), but the public should be able to watch the fireworks in town.

Where: Nugget Casino Resort
When: 4-10 p.m.

Lights on the Lake

Where: Incline Beach

Shot from three barges near the Stateline area of Lake Tahoe, fireworks are set to music (tune into KRLT radio) and visible from all over town.  Recommended viewpoints include Lakeview Commons/El Dorado Beach and Nevada Beach

4th of July on The Comstock

Where: Virginia City
When: Parade at noon; band at 6 p.m.; fireworks at dusk

The city is decked out in red, white, and blue for this patriotic 4th Of July Parade On The Comstock, followed by a free concert by David John and The Comstock Cowboys, and a fireworks show.

The best fireworks display in Laughlin

Rockets Over the River

Where: Laughlin River Walk
When: 9:30 p.m.

Viewable from the entire Laughlin Riverwalk, this spectacular free fireworks display above the Colorado River is simulcast to patriotic music on local radio.

The best fireworks display in Mesquite

Rockets Over the Red Mesa

Where: Sports and Events Complex
When: Starts at 7:30 p.m.; Fireworks at 9 p.m.
