The City of Flint‘s Wellness Wednesday initiative will transform the Clio Road Community Service Center into a weekly health resource hub, offering free medical screenings and expert consultations to community members.
New weekly health program brings free care
Starting June 25, 2025, Flint residents can now access free health services every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 4805 Clio Road. The program aims to break down barriers to healthcare access by bringing essential services directly into the neighborhood.
A licensed Nurse Practitioner will provide several no-cost health screenings and services, including:
- Blood pressure checks
- BMI measurements
- Medication consultations
- Mental health screenings
- General health advice
Comprehensive support beyond medical care
The initiative extends beyond basic health screenings. A dedicated health navigator will be present to help residents connect with additional community resources and services. Free water filters will also be available to support the community’s ongoing water safety needs.
Mayor Sheldon Neeley emphasized the program’s significance, per WNEM. “We understand that access to healthcare and trusted information is a key part of a healthy community,” she shared. “Wellness Wednesday is about meeting people where they are, addressing health disparities, and making sure every resident has the opportunity to take control of their health.”
