It’s not fall until you pick-your-own crisp apples and get lost in the smell of freshly made local cider, or have some nostalgic fun along New Hampshire’s corn mazes.

New Hampshire corn mazes
It’s autumn! Time to experience the treasured tradition of getting lost in intricate corn mazes in the state. Here are some of the best corn mazes to check out this season.
1. Beans and Green Farms
Location: 245 Intervale Rd., Gilford
This Gilford farm has been organizing corn mazes for the last 15 years, and it’s bringing back its labyrinthine mazes for another season this year.
This year’s themes include “Aloha State” and “Museum Mix Up,” which are riddled with scavenger hunt activities!
Mazes are open from August 1 through October 31.
The cost is $7 per person, and children under three get in for free.
2. Collins Farm
Location: US-302, Bath
Previously voted as New Hampshire’s number one corn maze, Collins Farm’s mazes are spread over a sprawling area of 13 acres.
This year’s themes include flashlight mazes to be explored in the dark and a haunted flashlight maze that has 11 checkpoints with live actors and animatronics.
The price ranges from $25 to $30 for the themed mazes, and $5 to $15 for a regular corn maze.
The mazes are open until October 12.
3. Coppal House Farm
Location: 118 North River Rd. (RT 155), Lee
Every year, the Coppal House Farm offers a uniquely themed corn maze. This year’s theme is a 2025 Butterfly and Chrysalis Maze!

4. Sherman Farm
Location: 2679 East Conway Rd., Center Conway
Sherman Farm is where 12 acres of maze fun await you all season long. There are corny riddles and treasure hunts to play inside these a-maze-ing mazes.
The maze opens on September 12 and runs through October 27.

Creating a fun-filled fall environment, Devriendt Farm in Goffstown offers the most exciting pick-your-own pumpkins, corn mazes, hayrides, and treats galore!

4. Sunnycrest Farm

A family-owned local farm in Londonderry, Sunnycrest, is already pulling out its first pumpkin harvest of the season.
Looking for the perfect jack-o’-lantern? Step onto Sunnycrest’s fields in October as it welcomes a bigger batch of harvested pumpkins.

5. Riverview Farm

A family-run farm, Riverview specializes in pick-your-own pumpkins, gourds, and squashes.

Experience the horrors of an old-fashioned hayride at these spooky spots in New Hampshire.
1. Windy Hill Orchard

For a full-nine-yards fall experience, don’t miss the opportunity to check out Windy Hill Orchard in Washburn. From apple cider donuts, corn mazes, and a gift shop to much-loved hayrides, Windy Hill has everything to offer you and your family this spooky season.

2. Elwood Orchards

This family-owned business has been around since 1910, and it’s a mainstay of Londonderry.
Free hayrides are available every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
3. DeMerritt Hill Farm
Location: 20 Orchard Way, Lee
A farm known for producing fine quality fruits, DeMerritt Hill offers a range of fun activities and creates the quintessential fall environment for families.
Hayrides are available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for just $4 per person. Only available on the weekends.
4. Beans and Greens Farm
Location: 245 Intervale Rd., Gilford
Beans and Greens Farm is open all year and features a deli, farmstand store, petting zoo, ziplines, food trucks/cafés, and more.

1. Fall Equinox Fest
Date: September 20, 2025
Location: Swasey Parkway, Downtown Exeter
Cultural exhibits, live music, kids’ activities, and the best of local food are in the line-up.
2. 148th Annual Deerfield Fair
Date: September 25-28, 2025
Location: Deerfield Fairgrounds on Route 43 in Deerfield
Nothing like one of the most-awaited, one-of-its-kind fairs in New Hampshire, which will feature a multitude of talented entertainers, car shows, sheep, wool shows, and much more!
Ticket prices are $12 for adults, and children under 12 get in for free.
3. 28th Annual Fall Festival and Chili Cook-Off
Date: October 4, 2025
Location: Visitor Center Green, Claremont
Claremont’s annual fall festival is back for a 28th season, and will include vendors, food trucks, games, and unlimited fun! Add flavor to the event by participating in the chili-cook-off—it’s open to individuals, nonprofits, and businesses.

4. Apple Harvest Day
Date: October 4, 2025
Location: Downtown Dover

The apple-picking season typically runs from mid-August to October, and there are almost 50 varieties of apples grown in the state.
With fall right around the corner, here’s a guide—with information on where and when to pick, and pricing—to one of the Granite State’s most-loved fall activities.
1. Mack’s Apples
Location: 230 Mammoth Rd., Londonberry
A personal favorite, Mack’s Apples is very affordable, with a small bag costing around $20, which can easily fit 15 to 20 apples.
If apple picking doesn’t sound appealing, try the ice cream store for the creamiest and most unique flavors.
2. Applecrest Farm
Location: 133 Exeter Rd., Hampton Falls
Here’s a list of apple varieties, categorized by their maturity dates.
Picking half a bushel costs $45.
3. Alyson’s Orchard
Location: 57 Alyson’s Ln., Walpole
The property features nearly 50 acres of fruit-bearing trees and is also open to outdoor wedding ceremonies.
