With the arrival of fall, farms across Virginia are rolling out their seasonal offerings, including hayrides, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and more family-friendly activities as part of their yearly fall festivals. Northern Virginia
Belvedere Plantation
Location: 1410 Belvedere Dr., Fredericksburg, VA 22408
Dates: Sept. 13-Nov. 1
Belvedere Plantation’s Fall Harvest Festival offerings include a wide variety of activities, including Pumpkin Mountain, the Great Adventure Maize Maze, Colonel’s Corn Box, the Olde Barnyard, and wagon rides, just to name a few. Come hungry and dine at the Red Rooster Grill or Belvedere’s Pizza Factory. You can also gather around a campfire for marshmallow and hotdog roasting, with campfire rentals starting at $65.

Pumpkin Village
Location: 19246 James Monroe Hwy., Leesburg, VA 20175
Dates: Sept. 20-Nov. 4
Pumpkin Village, at the Leesburg Animal Park, is opening to the public for its Fall Fest, which promises to be chock-full of family-friendly fun, including hill slides, moon bounces, wagon rides, a petting zoo, pedal carts, a corn bin, and entertainment on weekends. Those who attend on the weekends will also get to indulge in some face painting, free cider tastings, and fresh apple and pumpkin cookies. Tickets start at $17.95.
Great Country Farms
Location: 34345 Snickersville Turnpike, Bluemont, VA 20135
Dates: Sept. 19-Oct. 31
Pumpkin picking and corn maze fun are in great supply at Great Country Farms. Activities at the farm include wagon rides to pick pumpkins, Oinkintucky derby pig races, cider pressing demonstrations, P-Rex the Pumpkin Eating Dino Show, marshmallow roasting, live music, pumpkin cannons, and cow train rides. Weekday admission is $0 for children and $12 for adults, with weekend admission being $14 for children and $16 for adults. Come hungry and enjoy lunch in The Henway Cider Barn.
Southside Virginia
Owen Farm
Location: 1668 Silver Creek Rd., Danville, VA 24540

Owen Farm, which has been in operation since 2003, is said to be a magical place in the fall with the leaves turning colors and the air nice and crisp. It’s certainly a relaxing place to visit, given its cozy barn, chill hayrides, and bountiful pumpkin patch. Be sure to meet some of the farm animals, including goats, chickens, and rabbits.
Parrish View Farms
Location: 2571 Dundas Rd., Kenbridge, VA 23944
Dates: Sept. 28-Oct. 26
Parrish View Farms has been opening its pumpkin patch to the public since 2009. The $12 admission fee gives visitors access to the 5-acre corn maze, barnyard, hayrides, one gourd for the giant slingshot, and countless photo opportunities. Pumpkin pricing ranges from $1 for a small gourd to $50 for extra-large pumpkins. Feel free to bring along your dog, but make sure they’re leashed. Over the course of the season, a variety of food trucks will be on-site, including Wagon Wheel Café and Hutch’s Barbecue.
The Junction, on Highway 58
Location: 58 Greenhouse Dr., Buffalo Junction, VA 24529
The Junction, on Highway 58, does fall right with both a corn maze and a pumpkin patch. The family-oriented agritourism business offers a 5-acre corn maze, a wide selection of pumpkins and gourds for sale, hayrides, a pumpkin slingshot, and a corn pit for kids to roll around in.
Central Virginia
Liberty Mills Farm
Location: 9166 Liberty Mills Rd., Somerset, VA 22972
Dates: Sept. 13-Nov. 11
Liberty Mills Farm goes all in on corn maze fun, with four different trails across 34 acres, including a story maze, trivia maze, hole punch maze, and mystery maze. There’s also a you-pick pumpkin patch hay wagon for rides. Tickets are $15.50 per person.

Lloyd Family Farms
Location: 12204 Pinhook Rd., Rockville, VA 23146
Dates: Sept. 26-Oct. 26
Lloyd Family Farms, which is operated by third and fourth generations of the Lloyd family, is gearing up to open its Pumpkin Patch this season. Admission is $15 per person, with children two and under free. Admission gives you access to hayrides, the corn crib, straw castle with pipe slides, corn maze, and a barnyard meet-and-greet. Pumpkins cost $0.89-cent per pound. Food trucks will also be on-site, including Cluck-n-Roll and Noah’s Rockin’ Buns.
Endless View Farms
Location: 2513 Rockfish Rd., Crimora, VA 24431
Dates: Sept. 20-Nov. 2
This year marks the third anniversary of Endless View Farms’ Fall Pumpkin Festival. It features over 25 farm-related attractions, including a hayride to the pumpkin patch, Cattle Drive Barrel Train, corn maze, Pumpkin Jump Pillow, and 120-foot hay slide. Tickets are $17.29.

Coastal Virginia
Bergey’s Barnyard
Location: 2207 Mount Pleasant Rd., Chesapeake, VA 23322
Dates: Sept. 13-Nov. 1
Bergey’s Barnyard’s 2025 corn maze stretches for an impressive 10 acres. Throughout the season, those who visit the maze will also get to visit the farm’s petting zoo, go for a hayride, and even shoot the corn gun. Tickets for the maze and petting zoo start at $10 but go up to $17 when combined with the hayride and corn gun. The petting zoo features such animals as goats, sheep, alpacas, cows, chickens, rabbits, pigs, and farm cats.
Hickory Ridge Farm
Location: 2928 Battlefield Blvd. S, Chesapeake, VA 23322
Dates: Mid-September-Oct. 30
Hickory Ridge Farm, which is family-owned and operated, welcomes seasonal visitors each year for its Fall Festival weekends. The weekends include pick-your-own pumpkin patches, hayrides, pony rides, and barrel train rides. The farm offers a variety of pumpkins and gourds, with pumpkins being $0.99-cent per pound. Be sure to purchase an all-inclusive wristband for your kids, which will give them access to the children’s corn maze, toddler hay maze, hay mountain slide, and children’s corn pit, as well as a ride on both the barrel train and hayride. A fall festival wouldn’t be complete without cider donuts and kettle corn.
Cullipher Farm Market
Location: 772 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23457
Dates: Late-September-November
Cullipher Farm Market has partnered with the Maize Company to design a challenging corn maze this year that covers roughly 12 acres. The center of the maze features “CFM 2025.” Not recommended for children, the farm recommends that those wanting to fully conquer the maze do so over the course of several visits. While at the farm, be sure to pick some apples and pumpkins, which are available from September through October.

Southwest Virginia
Jeter Farm
Location: 181 Blue Ridge Blvd., Roanoke, VA 24012
Dates: Sept. 27-Oct. 26
Jeter Farm encourages visitors to enjoy a relaxing afternoon getting lost in its corn maze during its Fall Festival. The $15 admissions fee gives you access to the corn maze, wagon rides, slides, barnyard zoo, games, and zipline. While at the farm, sample some local apple cider or some fresh kettle corn.
Layman Family Farms
Location: 1815 Mountain View Church Rd., Blue Ridge, VA 24064
Dates: Sept. 20-Nov. 1
Layman Family Farms offers an expansive 84 acres of seasonal fun. Attractions include an apple cannon, cow train, pumpkin patch, corn maze, and hayrides. Pumpkins cost $3 for pie pumpkins, $0.59 for specialty pumpkins, and $0.49 for large orange pumpkins. Day passes cost $17.95 online or $20 at the gate. Be sure to enjoy a homemade apple cider donut.
Doe Run Farm
Location: 402 Doe Run Rd., Ararat, VA 24053
Dates: Sept. 27-Nov. 2
Doe Run Farm takes a different approach to the maze concept, using sunflowers instead of corn. The 6-acre sunflower maze isn’t the only attraction, with the farm also offering a bounce pad, hayrides, apple launcher, pumpkin bowling, and corn hole. You can also visit the pick-you-own sunflower field. Admission is $10.
