From hidden gems to longtime favorites, these nine Greeley taco trucks serve some of the best authentic street tacos in Northern Colorado.
There are few things that I am a complete sucker for, but one of those is street tacos, especially from a food truck. I love them because they’re affordable, authentic, and a great way to support a small, local business.
Lucky for me, and really, everyone, Greeley has no shortage of great Mexican food, including delicious taco trucks tucked away on street corners and in parking lots.
After sampling more tacos than I’d like to admit, these were my favorites.
Lonchera El Pichon
Location: 401 8th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631
At Lonchera El Pichon, you can expect to see a consistent line of dedicated taco lovers every Friday through Sunday. But don’t let the line deter you, the tacos are more than worth the wait. With 22 different meat options and tacos priced under $2, this taco truck is delicious and affordable. Each taco comes topped with cilantro and onion and is served with a lime wedge.
Must-tries include the al pastor, carne asada, and carnitas. They are cash-only, so come prepared. They’re also open late, until 2:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights and 11 p.m. on Sundays, making it a great spot to grab a bite after a night out.
Los Altos Food Truck
Location: 513 14th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631
The curse of Los Altos is that once you’ve tasted their tacos, there’s no turning back. You won’t want to go anywhere else. They’re open Thursday through Sunday, and you can either visit the truck or order online. Their tacos come topped with grilled jalapeños, onion, cilantro, and lime.
I highly recommend adding an order of papas to go with your tacos, or trying the asada fries, loaded with your choice of meat, queso, cilantro, and onion.
Sara’s Food Truck
Location: 100 E 16th Street, Greeley, CO 80631
Sara’s Food Truck is a Greeley classic. With regulars lining up at 5:00 a.m. for their famous breakfast burritos and a steady stream of customers stopping by throughout the day for authentic street tacos, it’s easy to see why this spot has such a loyal following. With tacos priced at around $3 each, you can mix up your order and sample a few different options.
If you’re looking to add something extra, try the guacamole salsa or the carne asada fries. Both are customer favorites.
Tacos El No Se Que
Location: 1907 1st Ave, Greeley, CO, United States, 80631
Tacos El No Se Que is a local food truck and catering business that can serve events for up to 600 guests. They’re open Thursday through Sunday from 3 to 10 p.m., which makes it the perfect spot for a late lunch, dinner, or late-night snack.
Their name, Tacos El No Se Que, comes from one of their earliest catering customers. After ordering more than 30 tacos, the customer would say, “¡El no sé qué!”—essentially, “There’s something about these tacos, I just can’t put my finger on it.” The phrase stuck, and so did the name when they officially became a business in 2021.
Their menu features seven different meat options for tacos along with favorites like quesabirria, tortas, burritos, quesadillas, and more. The tacos come with cilantro, onion, lime, and salsa.

El Tacorriendo
Location: 1300 8th Ave #4602, Greeley, CO 80631
As the name suggests, El Tacoriendo’s tacos are so good they’re basically running out the window of the food truck. Open Thursday through Sunday, this late-night spot starts serving at 6 p.m. and stays open until midnight or 3 a.m., depending on the day.
Along with plenty of different meat options for tacos, they also serve tortas, quesa pizza, burritos, ceviche, and more.
Abarrotes Santa Cruz
Location: 1601 9th Street, Greeley, CO 80631
Abarrotes Santa Cruz is a one-stop shop with both a grocery store and a food truck. Inside, you’ll find Mexican pastries, groceries, and other household essentials. After you do your grocery shopping, stop by the food truck outside for some authentic and delicious tacos.
Popular choices include the asada and barbacoa tacos. You’ll also love their spicy salsas, housemade tamales, friendly service, and affordable prices.
Evolution Flavors
Location: 3017 W 10th St, Greeley, CO 80634
Evolution Flavors doesn’t stop at tacos and traditional Mexican food. They also mix in American classics like hamburgers and hot dogs, many with a unique twist (pineapple hot dog, anyone?).
However, their tacos are exceptional and more than earn their spot on this list. With eight different options, you can mix and match or come back and order something different every time. While not a taco, their ramen birria is a local favorite and well worth ordering if you’re willing to branch out.
Before you go, save room for one of their many desserts, including churro cheesecake bites and tres leches cake.

Tacos El Faceto Estilo Arandas Jalisco
Location: 1104 42nd St, Evans, CO 80620 (flagship location)
Since 2019, Tacos El Faceto has elevated the taco scene in Evans, Greeley, and beyond. What started as a humble taco stand has become a local taco truck favorite, and for good reason.
Owner José Raúl Hernández is on a mission to bring the flavors of Arandas, Jalisco, to the Greeley area in an authentic way, and he does just that. His menu features everything from quesatacos and vampiros to burritos, consomé, quesadillas, and, of course, tacos.
For $12, you can get four tacos and choose from 11 different meats. You’ll also want to try some of his eight salsas, which range from mild to spicy.

Taqueria San Julian
Location: 1229 9th Street, Greeley, CO 80631 (food truck)
6185 E 72nd Ave, Commerce City, CO 80022 (restaurant)
Did someone say $1 tacos? Taqueria San Julian did. On select days of the week, you can grab al pastor (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or carnitas tacos (Thursday) for just a dollar.
The menu also features meat favorites like asada, buche, cabeza, chorizo, lengua, and tripa. Each taco comes with cilantro and onions and is served with radishes and lime on the side.
In addition to their taco truck in Greeley, Taqueria San Julian has a restaurant in Commerce City, so if you love what you try in Greeley, make sure to pay them a visit in Commerce City and try something from their larger menu and sit-down environment.
