This summer, the North Carolina State Board of Election will offer free voter registration seminars. Here’s what you need to know.

The State Board of Elections in North Carolina has announced that it will be offering free voter registration seminars to the public. These seminars are designed to provide detailed information on the voter registration process and voter registration drives. They will address legal qualifications for voting, tips on completing and updating voter registration applications, and key considerations for organizing voter registration drives.

In addition to covering general voter registration topics, the seminars will also include information about photo identification requirements for voting. These sessions can be conducted in person anywhere in North Carolina or online, based on request.

Scheduled in-person seminars will take place at the State Board of Elections office in the Dobbs Building, located at 430 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC 27603. The dates for these events are set for 6 p.m. on July 25, July 31, Aug. 14, Sept. 12, and Sept. 25.

State Board staff also provide free seminars specifically about the voter photo ID requirement and accessibility in voting. Since late April, 29 seminars on photo ID requirements and seven on accessibility have been conducted. Individuals and organizations are encouraged to request these educational seminars.

Interested groups can request a seminar through the State Board of Elections website by providing their name, organization, contact information, proposed date and time for the event, and the type of seminar requested. Requests will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis and will be scheduled based on staff availability.
