A new coffee shop is opening at Love Field’s Frontiers of Flight Museum. Here’s everything you need to know.
On April 29, a new coffee shop will be opening its doors to customers inside the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Dallas Love Field. Jetsetters is aptly billed as a “first-class stop for coffee and bites, cleared for take-off,” and will serve up an assortment of snacks, pastries, sandwiches, sweets, tacos, and beverages. It’ll be an exciting upgrade to the previous snack counter at Frontiers which had a more limited selection.
Abigail Erickson-Torres, who’s the CEO and president of the Frontiers of Flight Museum, said in a statement, “Jetsetters is a sophisticated, family and corporate friendly lounging space to enjoy a unique experience inside the Frontiers of Flight Museum. We’ve spent a year developing this concept — bringing together the best team, food and beverage options, merchandise, and stylish architecture designed to comfort the traveler, the aviator, veteran and international explorers and their families.”
She emphasized that the driving force behind the project was to create a gathering space for travelers passing through Dallas Love Field and any other members of the community who want a quiet, comfortable place to meet for coffee and conversation. Jetsetters wants to appeal equally to someone looking to grab a quick cup of Joe as it does to people who want to hang around for longer stretches. As an added bonus, revenue made from the coffee shop will go toward the museum’s aerospace-STEM program, among others.
If you haven’t been to Frontiers yet and are unfamiliar with what the museum houses, it has approximately 35,000 artifacts on display across 18 galleries, including an Apollo 7 spacecraft replica, flight memorabilia, rare spacecrafts and aircrafts, a Wright Flyer replica, and many, many other space and aviation-related items. General admission to the museum costs $20 per adult, $12 per child, and $10 per senior.
Don’t worry though, Jetsetters will be open to everyone, meaning you don’t have to pay for admission into the Frontiers of Flight Museum if you just want to scope out the coffee shop on its own.
Menu and hours of operation
An official ribbon cutting ceremony overseen by the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, but Jetsetters won’t be open to the public until Wednesday, April 29. Its hours of operation will be as follows:
- Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
For those who want to solely go to the coffee shop and bypass going to the Frontiers of Flight Museum, you’ll need to enter through the museum’s main doors and speak with someone at the front desk there to grab a pass admitting you to Jetsetters. The coffee shop will be equipped with WiFi and have separate spaces for corporate or group meetings.
In terms of what’s on the menu, there’s a good selection to choose from, including pastries from Sugar & Sage Bakery, tacos from Tacodeli, tea cakes from Maman, and beverages from Cultivar Coffee & Tea.
