About the Champions for Children Awards

Multiple winners will be selected to showcase the diverse ways community members support local children and families. The awards ceremony will take place during the CAP Council’s Plant a Pinwheel Celebration at the Howell Carnegie Library on April 3, coinciding with National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Community members can submit their nominations through the official Champions for Children nomination form.

The initiative is supported by LACASA’s CAP Council, a designated local council of the Michigan Children’s Trust Fund, with partial funding from the Livingston County United Way. Great Start Collaborative of Livingston County, a partnership of early childhood experts, parents, and community organizations, co-sponsors the awards program to help ensure local children are prepared for academic and life success.
