Naomi Biden Testifies in Hunter Biden’s Federal Gun Trial

In Hunter Biden’s ongoing federal gun trial, his daughter Naomi testified on Friday, recounting her 2018 visit to her father in a rehabilitation center. Naomi explained that she hadn’t seen her father for a while and was aware of his stay in the rehab facility.

Naomi, along with her then-boyfriend and now-husband, met Hunter and his sober coach at a coffee shop. These testimonies came after federal prosecutors concluded their case against Hunter Biden, focusing extensively on personal testimonies to underscore his drug problem.

The defense, led by attorney Abbe Lowell, started their case with a gun store clerk’s testimony who questioned Hunter Biden’s form’s inconsistencies. Joe Biden’s brother James was expected to testify later.

During October 2018, the same month Hunter Biden bought the gun, Naomi didn’t notice any drug paraphernalia or evidence of drug use during a trip from Washington to New York in her father’s truck. She described her father as hopeful during that period.

Earlier, jurors were presented with explicit testimonies and images showing the severity of Hunter Biden’s drug abuse. The prosecutors aim to prove that Hunter was unlawfully using drugs during his gun purchase and thus lied on the mandatory gun purchase form.

President Joe Biden expressed his acceptance for the jury’s verdict and ruled out a pardon for his son. Hunter Biden is charged with three felonies, including lying to a federally licensed gun dealer, making a false claim on the gun application form, and illegal possession of a gun. All these charges are related to his alleged drug use during the gun purchase.

Hunter Biden has pled not guilty. The trial is also delving into details about a separate tax case in California, a plea deal for which fell apart due to unresolved issues. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison, while a separate trial for failing to pay $1.4 million in taxes is scheduled for September.
