Thanksgiving in New Hampshire: Where to order from or dine in

Don’t feel like cooking but still want to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving in New Hampshire? Check out this list of restaurants and stores to score a full meal.

Many Granite Staters love Thanksgiving, but plenty of us don’t love to cook. In fact, some of us believe you should never spend more time cooking a meal than you do eating a meal, not to mention the hours spent shopping and cleaning up. You’re not alone; that’s why in New Hampshire we have plenty of options for dining out or ordering prepared holiday feasts. Here’s a list of some of those businesses that offer those options.

Local Restaurant Chain/To Go

Common Man Restaurants

The 23 restaurants in New Hampshire’s Common Man chain are putting up Thanksgiving dinners to go. Order by November 21. Pickup at your local Common Man Restaurant on Wednesday,  November 26. Order online here.

Cost: $129.95 for a family of four, $ 32.95 for a single meal.

Menu: Oven-roasted turkey breast with house-made pan gravy, whole-berry cranberry sauce, stuffing, country mashed potatoes, maple-roasted butternut squash, garlicky green beans, rolls,  sweet bread, and a slice of pumpkin pie with cinnamon whipped cream.

Local Supermarket Chain/To Go

Market Basket

This New England grocery has 28 stores in New Hampshire, all offering heat-and-serve Thanksgiving dinners. Call your local Market Basket to order.

Cost: $79.99 for a fully cooked, heat-and-serve meal for 8 to 10 guests.

Menu: Butterball turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, butternut squash, stuffing, cranberry sauce, 15 rolls, choice of apple or pumpkin pie, or a Carando spiral ham, mashed potatoes.

Seascoast/Dine In

Roundabout Diner

Location: 580 US 1 Bypass, Portsmouth

Cost: Adults $32.95, children under 12, $16.95. Call 603 431-1440 for reservations.

Menu: Slow-roasted turkey, cornbread stuffing, red bliss mashed potatoes, butternut squash, peas, and pearl onions, cranberry relish, dinner rolls, homemade gravy, cinnamon apple sauce, and homemade dessert.

Wentworth by the Sea

Location: 588 Wentworth Road, New Castle. Call 603 373-6566 for reservations.

Cost: $109 per person, $35 for children under 12 for the Thanksgiving buffet.

Menu: Thanksgiving buffet in the Wentworth ballroom with carving station, chilled salad buffet, New England raw bar, seasonal fruit, smoothies, Belgian waffle station, artisan cheese, seasonal hot entrées, and a dessert display. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Wentworth also offers a seated Thanksgiving dinner at the Salt Kitchen & Bar from 1 to 9 p.m.

Cost: $89 per person, $35 for children under 12

Menu: Roasted carrot sweet potato bisque, choice of crispy Brussel sprouts, sage gnocchi, fall-and spiced seared scallops, choice of maple-brined turkey breast, sous vide filet of beef, seared Scottish salmon, butternut squash ravioli, and choice of blueberry pie, pumpkin cheesecake, or cinnamon spice cake.

Seascoast/To Go

The Old Salt & Lamie’s Restaurant and Inn

Location: 490 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. Call 603 926-8322 

Cost: $28–$139

Menu: Thanksgiving meal that includes choices of roasted turkey, baked Virginia ham, autumn harvest ravioli, or prime rib. Old Salt is also open for in-house dining on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Roundabout Diner

Location: 580 US 1 Bypass, Portsmouth. Call 603 431-1440.

Cost: $204.99 (serves 6–8 people), $284.99 (10– 12 people) 

Menu: Cornbread stuffing, red bliss mashed Potatoes, butternut squash, peas and pearl onions, cranberry relish, rolls, homemade gravy, cinnamon apple sauce, and choice of homemade pie.

North Country/Dine In

Appalachian Mountain Club Highland Center 

Location: White Mountain National Forest, U.S, US-302, Bretton Woods

Cost: Adult: $34 (member), $39 (non-member); children: $18 (member), $20 non-member. Call 603 466-2727 to book.

Menu: Buffet-style service between 1 p.m.  (first seating) and 5:30 p.m. (final seating). Seating every half hour, 30 guests per seating time. 

Mountain View Grand  

Location: 101 Mountain View Rd., Whitefield. Call 855 837-2100 for reservations.

Cost: $70 for adults. $30 for children 6–12 and children 2–5 $15

Menu: Thanksgiving buffet with roasted, stuffed turkey breast, prime rib, mashed potatoes, and other holiday fixings. From noon to 5:15 p.m. Business casual dress code

Lakes Region/Dine In

The Hilltop Restaurant

Location: Steele Hill Resorts, 639 Steele Hill Rd., Sanbornton. Call 603 524-0500 ext. for reservations.

Cost: $38.99$18 for children 12 and under

Thanksgiving buffet menu: Slow-roasted Misty Knoll turkey with gravy, spiral-sliced honey-glazed ham, garden salad, shrimp cocktail, artisanal cheese and crudités, mashed potatoes, herb stuffing, candied yams, green bean casserole, honey-glazed carrots, corn soufflé, roasted brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, Parker House rolls, and a holiday dessert wonderland. 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Inn on Main and O Bistro

Location: 200 North Main Street, Wolfeboro. Call 603 515-1003

Cost: $45 adults, $22 children.

Hart’s Turkey Farm

Location: 233 Daniel Webster Highway, Meredith. 603 279-6212

Cost: $200 for a family meal feeding 2 to 6, $300 for 6 to 10, and $440 for 10 to 14. 

Menu: A whole roasted turkey, gravy, stuffing, whipped potatoes, butternut squash, green beans, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and a choice of apple, pumpkin, or chocolate cream pie.

Pickup: Thanksgiving Day, 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. Last day to order is November 21 or until sold out.

Merrimack Valley/Dine In

Homestead Restaurant & Tavern

Location: 641 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack. 603 429-2022, 11:30 – 5:30 and Bristol, 603 744-2033, noon, 2:30 p.m. or 5 p.m.

Cost: $38–$45. Children’s menu for those under age 12 is $21

Menu: All entrées include: turkey soup, apple cider, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, butternut squash, hot rolls, sweet bread, and homemade pie. Entrée choices are roast turkey dinner, baked Virginia ham, roast prime rib of beef, baked stuffed haddock, veal Oscar, broiled salmon, and seafood fettuccine.

Alpine Grove Events Center

Location: 19 South Depot Rd., Hollis, 603 241-8144. Go here to buy tickets.

Cost: Thanksgiving Day lunch buffet, $37 adults, children 3–12, $17, noon to 3 p.m.

Menu: Oven-roasted turkey, salad bar, honey-glazed ham, garlic mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, maple-glazed carrots, butternut squash, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, and dessert.

Backyard Brewery

Location: 1211 South Mammoth Rd., Manchester. Call 603 623-3545 for reservations.

Cost: $33 per person

Menu: Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, carrots, squash, cranberry sauce, salad, and rolls, 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Temple Street Diner

Location: 200 Temple Street, Nashua, 603 521-7133. Reservations are required for parties of 5 or more. Open 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Menu: Thanksgiving dinner and other menu items.

Merrimack Valley/To Go

Trombly Gardens

Location: 150 North River Rd, Milford 603 673-0647

Cost: Turkey dinners are $29.99 per person

Menu: Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, squash, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, and rolls. Classic apple, apple crumb, pecan, pumpkin, mixed berry, and chocolate cream pies are also for sale for $23.99 each order by November 21.

Soel Sistas Café-Catering

Location: 30 Temple St., Nashua, 603 943-1469

Email orders by November 14 to kendrasmith52@gmail.com, write “Turkey” in the subject line. Pickup at Soel Sistas, Wednesday, November 26, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Cost: $25–$40 per person.

Menu: Southern turkey dinner with gravy, three sides, dinner roll, and dessert ($25), brown sugar pineapple ham dinner ($30), roasted duck dinner, or braised short rib dinner ($40).

Menu: (Feeds 4 to 6) Butterball boneless turkey breast roast, Bigfoot sourdough stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, Bigfoot sourdough dinner rolls, and a choice of apple, pecan, or pumpkin pie. 

Temple Street Diner

Cost: $ 130 dinner for 6 to 8 people. $21.95 Single turkey dinner with all the sides and a slice of pie $21.95. Delivery available Thursday and Friday after 2:30. Call ahead the day of.

Menu: Heat and serve whole turkey dinner with sides for 6 to 8 people and single turkey dinners with a slice of pie.

Seacoast/To Go

Atlantic Grill
