From a roadside sandwich shop to a traditional Irish pub, discover the nine “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” restaurants located in Kentucky.

In the Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” host Guy Fieri road trips across the country in search of the best greasy spoons and hidden gems. Fieri has a knack for finding places with personality—and in Kentucky, that usually means bold flavors and a little bit of grit.

Throughout the show’s 55 seasons, Fieri has made several stops in Kentucky to sample the local fare. Fourteen Kentucky restaurants have been featured on Triple D. However, at the time of writing, only nine remain open.

In this roundup, we’re taking a closer look at the Kentucky restaurants that have made their mark on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” and why they’re worth seeking out. Keep reading to learn more about each one.

1. Camporosso

For authentic Italian food served in a warm, cozy setting, head straight to Camporosso. Housed in a former gas station that owners Eric and Amy Redfield lovingly gutted and renovated, Camporosso serves a decent selection of Italian dishes, but its Neapolitan-style pizzas are the main attraction.

Made in a wood-fired oven imported from Italy, the pizzas feature thin crust and blistered edges. Camporosso was featured on the 2025 Triple D episode “Trinidad, Thailand and Italy,” with its prosciutto and fig, soppressata hot honey, and Camporosso deluxe pizzas earning praise from Fieri.

Address: 2475 Dixie Hwy., Fort Mitchell

2. Gralehaus

Housed in a Victorian-style house built in the early 1900s, Gralehaus probably isn’t what you picture when you think of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” The charming Louisville spot is part cafe, part beer garden, and part boutique inn.

Featured on the 2016 “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” episode “Brunch, Bologna and Burgers,” Gralehaus serves seasonally driven dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, as well as a large selection of beers and ciders.

Gralehaus is best known for its brunch: Current menu items range from biscuits and gravy to French toast casserole to ricotta toast. Matcha and coffee lovers have no shortage of beverage options, with inventive drinks like banana and orange blossom matcha lattes, a Kentucky sorghum latte, and an iced jasmine ginger peach americano complementing classic cappuccinos and espressos.

Address: 1001 Baxter Ave., Louisville

3. Grind Burger Kitchen

At Grind Burger Kitchen, burgers are, unsurprisingly, the star of the show. This Louisville favorite, featured on the same 2016 “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” episode as Gralehaus, serves burgers crafted with house-ground beef and topped with inventive ingredients that go far beyond the basics.

The B&B is topped with brie cheese, bacon, and smoked habanero jam, while the veggie burger—featured on Triple D—has a house-made patty that’s a blend of chickpeas, lentils, quinoa, mushrooms, and roasted veggies.

There are a few non-burger menu items too, including a Cuban sandwich (also featured on Triple D), a kale salad, and a grown-up take on a grilled cheese featuring gruyere, whipped ricotta, feta, chorizo-spiced shredded carrot, and toasted pepita and arugula pesto.

Address: 829 E. Market St., Louisville

4. KungFood Amerasia

KungFood Amerasia is a must-try spot for diners seeking bold, flavor-packed Pan-Asian food in Covington. The family-owned spot, opened in 2008 by chef Rich Chu and his son Johnny, draws inspiration from Hunan, Szechuan, and Taiwanese cuisine. This fusion of flavors is what earned KungFood a feature on the 2025 “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” episode “Global Mashup.”

Triple D highlighted multiple menu items as standouts, including the Mongolian beef, cashew chicken, kung pow chicken, Szechuan beef, sesame chicken, general’s chicken, crab rangoons, and potstickers.

At KungFood, the space is as vibrant as the food, with colorful murals, eclectic artwork, and kung fu movie posters lining the walls.

Address: 521 Madison Ave., Covington

5. Momma’s Mustard, Pickles & BBQ

For bold, unapologetically flavorful barbecue in Louisville, Momma’s Mustard, Pickles & BBQ is a must-visit. Featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” in the 2016 episode “Carnivore Creations,” this spot is known for its Kansas City-style barbecue and the house-made mustard and pickles that inspired its name.

Momma’s started as a food truck funded by winnings from a share of a Kentucky Derby horse. Owner Chad Cooley partnered with chef Jamie Givan and trained with late barbecue legend Paul Kirk in Kansas City before opening up shop.

The mustard and pickles are a family recipe (Cooley’s mother’s). The menu ranges from classic pulled pork and brisket to meatloaf and hickory-smoked salmon. The wings, barbecue meats, scratch-made sides, and mustard and pickles all earned praise from Fieri.

Address: 102 Bauer Ave., Louisville, and 119 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy., Louisville

6. Seafood Lady

In a state best known for its barbecue and bourbon, Seafood Lady stands out for its coastal cuisine. Featured on the 2017 “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” episode “Mega Mouthfuls,” Seafood Lady is known for its generous portions of fresh, Florida-style seafood.

After being featured on Triple D, Seafood Lady expanded from a food truck to a full-service dine-in restaurant, with pop-up locations in other states, such as Texas. Fieri’s must-try menu items include the snow crab legs, crab fries, crawfish boil, corn on the cob, and lobster tails.

Address: 3201 Fern Valley Rd., Louisville

7. The Irish Rover

Step into The Irish Rover and you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported straight to Ireland. This decades-old pub, located in Louisville’s historic Clifton-Crescent Hill neighborhood, serves hearty, traditional Irish fare alongside pints of Guinness and other Irish beers.

Triple D calls out the fish and chips and bangers and mash as menu highlights, but there are plenty of other options to explore too: Scotch eggs, bubble and squeak, Guinness beef stew, and cottage pie, to name just a few.

Housed in a 170-year-old building, Irish Rover is more than just a pub—it’s a unique gathering place for friends, family, and community members.

Address: 2319 Frankfort Ave., Louisville

8. The Table

More than just a restaurant, The Table is a community-driven cafe in Louisville on a mission to provide nourishing meals to everyone—regardless of their ability to pay. Featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” in the 2016 “Turkey-giving” episode, this non-profit eatery operates on a pay-what-you-can model, where diners can pay full price for their meal or pay a little less (or a little more) depending on their financial situation.

The farm-to-table restaurant prioritizes fresh, locally sourced ingredients, meaning the menu changes frequently based on what’s available and in season. The current menu is a mix of soups, salads, sandwiches, and sides. Highlights include a roasted squash falafel sandwich with a vegan feta sauce and a meatloaf sandwich topped with braised collard greens and gravy.

Address: 1800 Portland Ave., Louisville

9. Wallace Station

Set in the rolling countryside just outside Lexington, Wallace Station feels like a hidden gem you stumble upon during a scenic drive—and then make a point to return to. This laid-back roadside stop, featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” in the 2010 episode “Farm to Table,” is known for elevating simple cafe fare with high-quality ingredients and a clear love for Kentucky flavors.

Housed in a charming, rustic building—formerly a train depot—Wallace Station serves up standout sandwiches and burgers, plus salads and a few southern staples like fried catfish and bourbon chili. Sandwiches are stacked high and made with bread from nearby Midway Bakery, which is owned by the same husband-and-wife duo that runs Wallace Station.

Fieri’s favorite sandwich—the White Cheddar Mornay—isn’t on the menu anymore, but the Big Brown Burger, which Fieri dubbed one of his top five burgers, is still available. The Country Ham & Pimento Cheese sandwich was featured on another Food Network show, “The Best Thing I Ever Ate.”
