The Fireside + three other dinner theaters in Wisconsin
Calling all musical and theater lovers! Looking for a delicious meal and fabulous show? Book a reservation at one of these incredible dinner theaters in Wisconsin.
Growing up, most Sundays at my grandparents’ house with my siblings and cousins were spent searching through a handful of VHS tapes to bide our time while the adults caught up and chit-chatted after a family dinner. Their video collection was sorely out of date (and this was the early 2000s), which meant more often than not, we’d pop in a Rodgers and Hammerstein classic to keep us entertained until it was time to go.
That being said, over two decades later, some of those musicals and far too many of the lyrics still hold a special place in my heart. Then I was introduced to my first dinner theater in Wisconsin, The Fireside Theatre. When I saw “West Side Story” live, the nostalgia was strong, and the experience was incredible. Since that first time with my parents and siblings, it’s become somewhat of a tradition.

Every so often, we’ll revisit a musical from my childhood, and the last couple of performances I’ve brought my daughters along too. Most recently, we went to an October showing of “Oklahoma.” From the boutique shops we visited while waiting to be seated for our meal, to the tasty food and incredible performances, none of our visits have ever disappointed. A trip to the Fireside is so much more than just dinner and a show—it’s a whole experience from start to finish.
Even though dinner is in the name, The Fireside Dinner Theatre also offers a brunch option, which is a fan favorite for my family. If you asked me to choose my favorite part about brunch, I’d have to say it’s the drinks—mostly because they’re themed to go with the show. The pastry plate and fruit bowl, which you get before you head up to the buffet, are delightful too, but the shining star of the brunch experience is always dessert without fail.
Although we’ve never stopped, I always consider popping by the bakery case at Crust In Time on the way out of the dining area for treats to take home. Instead, I end up trying to keep pace with my daughters as they flit to and from all the unique and beautiful boutique stores while we wait for the show to begin.

So far, we’ve seen “West Side Story,” “Mary Poppins,” “Oklahoma,” and more. We’ll certainly be back for the 2026 season, but the experience got me wondering—is this the only dinner theater experience in Wisconsin? Turns out, it isn’t.
The Fireside isn’t the only dinner theater in Wisconsin that offers a delicious meal and incredible entertainment. Check out any of the below dinner theaters, and pick your favorite depending on what kind of show you want to catch.
1. Fireside Theatre
Location: 1131 Janesville Avenue, Fort Atkinson
Ticket price: $60 – $100 per person
For over 60 years, The Fireside Dinner Theatre has been putting on incredible shows, offering delicious dining options, and boutique shopping experiences all under one roof. The experience at the fireside involves your meal first, followed by a play, musical, or concert. Before or after your show, you can shop at boutique stores located inside the same building.
The stage for all performances is the main event, in the center of the audience. It won’t matter if you’re on the first or second level for the show—the actors come down all aisles and are constantly changing directions for a phenomenal show from every angle.

2. Legacy Dinner Theater
Location: 564 Wisconsin Dells Parkway, S. Suite 300, Wisconsin Dells
Ticket price: $80 – $90 per person
The Legacy Dinner Theater in the Wisconsin Dells offers several unique shows throughout the year. Four of the most popular are Bello’s Circus Extreme Dinner Show, Sneaky Pete’s Wild West Dinner Show, Monster Mash Spooktacular Dinner Show, Christmas in the Dells Dinner Show, and the venue also offers concerts year-round.
Tickets are still available for the holiday show, Christmas in the Dells Dinner Show for 2025, and the 2026 season will be available soon. You can expect the entire dinner and show experience to last about two and a half hours.
3. The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Show
Location: 333 W Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee
Ticket price: $82 per person
The experience at The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Show feels like something straight out of your favorite true crime thriller. This dinner theater is more than a meal and a show—it’s an immersive experience. Unlike the other theaters on this list, it isn’t clear who is an actor and who is part of the audience, leaving you trying to solve the crime and guessing who is part of the show. If you’re feeling extra sneaky, you can choose a different package that secretly frames a member of your group.
4. Memories Ballroom
Location: 1077 Lake Drive, Port Washington
Ticket price: $46 (show only) – $72 (the entire experience)
The Memories Ballroom is more than just a space for entertainment. The venue is nearly 100 years old (built in 1934 as a log cabin ballroom), and it holds so many memories for patrons and owners alike. Tickets for the holiday 2025 show, “Cinnamon Grits,” are still available, and the 2026 lineup is taking reservations now. The season will kick off with a 1970s fan favorite, “Godspell.”
