Who’s performing at Floyd Fest?

The lineup for Floyd Fest 2025~Aurora features a mix of well-known and up-and-coming acts. The schedule for each day encompasses performances from artists in both categories. Essentially, attending the festival is a “choose your own adventure” where you can plan out what your day is going to look like based on who’s playing and when.

Notable acts like The Black Crowes, Gov’T Mule, JJ Grey & Mofro, and Mt. Joy are headlining Floyd Fest. The Wood Brothers, Maggie Rose, Aly & AJ, Sam Morrow, and Holy Roller are also scheduled to perform, among many, many others. The full list of who’s playing—including local musicians—can be found here

A day-by-day schedule of performances is listed on the Floyd Fest website, making it easy for you to see what time the people you’re most excited about are playing. Wednesday performances are only scheduled between 5 p.m. and midnight, whereas every other day of the festival is set to hold performances between 10 a.m. and midnight.

Pro tip: Download a copy of the Floyd Fest map to your phone before you arrive. That way, you can see where each of the stages is located and determine how much time you need to give yourself to get from one place to another before a specific performance is set to start.

Trust me, you don’t want to miss seeing someone you’ve been waiting all day for just because you didn’t leave yourself enough time to walk to their respective stage before their set began. (I’ve been there, and it’s a bummer).

What to bring & what to leave at home

Like any festival/concert/outdoor event, certain rules apply at Floyd Fest in terms of what you can and can’t bring. No weapons, outside alcohol, or drugs are allowed. Dogs and pets are not permitted on the festival site or campgrounds. You cannot bring glass, drones, fireworks, or any motorized transport, such as an ATV or a golf cart. A full list of prohibited items can be found here.

In terms of what you can bring, that’s going to depend on whether you’re camping or simply attending the festival and planning to stay elsewhere over the weekend. Camping gear like tents, tarps, ground pads, sleeping bags, camp chairs, and hammocks are encouraged, as is rain gear and cool-weather clothes, since the temperature tends to get colder in the Blue Ridge Mountains during the evening.

Cash, earplugs, bug spray, and sunscreen are always good to keep on hand. Be sure to pack a phone charger, a valid ID, and a debit or credit card as well. Click here for additional item recommendations, plus directions on how to get to Festival Park and where to park.

Where to stay

Camping and glamping options are available for those who want to stay close to the action during Floyd Fest 2025. Please note that there’s currently a waitlist for glamping and camping options though, which you can add your name and information to through this link. If you’re unable to secure a campsite or glamping accommodation prior to the festival, looking for a nearby hotel, motel, bed & breakfast, or Airbnb is going to be your best option this close to the festival’s start date.

Search for available places to stay on Google or through a designated travel site like Expedia, which may have select discounts available. When I’m figuring out where to stay ahead of a big festival, I like to calculate how long it will take to drive or Uber from the hotel to the festival and back. Obviously, waiting for an Uber post-festival is going to take longer and cost more than it would usually due to the sheer number of people trying to get home safely at the same time, so you may want to plan to drive yourself or rent a car and pay for parking to make things more convenient.
