At a post-election celebration in the Granite State, former President Donald Trump criticized Nikki Haley’s performance in the New Hampshire primary race.

Trump told his supporters that the former South Carolina governor had a disappointing evening.

“She indeed performed poorly,” Trump said. “The governor said she’s going to win, she’s going to win, then she failed significantly.”

Trump highlighted Haley’s third-place finish in the previous week’s Iowa caucuses, trailing behind himself and the Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has since withdrawn from the race.

“We always win,” Trump told the crowd, with South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, a former 2024 competitor who endorsed Trump recently, standing behind him. “We win the primary. We win the generals.”

Trump dubbed New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu, a Haley endorser, an “unpopular governor,” before expressing his gratitude to New Hampshire’s voters.

“This is a great state,” Trump said. “It holds a special place in my heart.”
