Universal Kids Resort is set to open sometime in 2026. Now, the theme park is looking to add new members to its team.
Frisco, Texas is set to become a destination for fun when Universal Studios officially opens its Kids Resort in 2026. The theme park, which is the first of its kind, will span 97 acres and was built specifically to create a family-friendly environment for kids and adults to enjoy equally. Interactive lands will center on specific themes like “Jurassic World,” “Minions,” “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Trolls,” “Puss in Boots,” and “Gabby’s Dollhouse.” In addition to theme park rides, the Kids Resort will feature interactive shows, food and beverage offerings, character meet and greets, a theme hotel with 300 rooms, and much more.
Last June, city officials spoke with NBC 5 about the exciting new development and said it will likely open sometime between April and June of this year. It’s unclear as to when an official opening date will be announced, as that will be determined by the park’s construction and when it’s ultimately completed. Between now and then, though, Frisco residents are being given the chance to apply and audition for a variety of roles at Universal Studios. Let’s dive into the details!
Information on auditions and applications
Today, March 9, and on Wednesday, March 11, Universal Studios will be holding callbacks for individuals who have already submitted virtual auditions to be performers, actors, and costumed characters at the new Kids Resort in Frisco. These callbacks will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 11. If you missed the initial audition process, don’t panic. The company is hiring for a variety of open positions, which you can view for yourself here. If you’d like to submit an audition profile, you may do so at this link.
In a press release announcing its hiring process, the park wrote, “The resort is looking for team players who want to help create those unforgettable memories for families while prioritizing safety and enhancing the community.” The release added that the hiring team “is looking for energetic, enthusiastic talent ready to help create unforgettable experiences for guests” for both part-time and full-time positions. These jobs will land you some serious perks, like complimentary park tickets, discounts on food, merchandise, and reservations at the Universal Kids Resort Hotel, as well as recognition programs, vacation days, healthcare plans, and additional benefit packages.
It looks like hiring is happening on an ongoing basis. Forthcoming audition callbacks after March 11 have yet to be announced.
