Sometimes, when you are deciding what to do for the weekend or on a free weeknight, you might need to just follow your sign. We pulled some strengths and interests from ZodiacSign.com and used that as our guide to come up with some exciting things to do in and around Cedar Rapids.

Aquarius

If you were born between January 20 and February 18, then you might just be progressive, original, independent, and humanitarian. You are likely interested in having fun with friends, getting into risky business, fighting for causes, and having intellectual conversations.

In your free time, you might consider an exhilarating outing with friends to Hurling Hatchet for some ax throwing. Or, if you want to get in tune with the arts and culture scene, you can check out the upcoming events at Brucemore. You can connect with your civic-mindedness by visiting the African American Museum of Iowa, the only museum dedicated to the African American experience in the state. You can also feed your intellectual curiosity by enjoying a program offered by the Cedar Rapids Public Library or through the lecture series (open to the public) offered each year at Coe College

Pisces

You might even consider treating yourself to a staycation at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center for a night or two of relaxing not too far from home. 

Aries

Yu might even want to climb their rock wall while you are there. Then, a hike to the top of Mount Trashmore will give you a nice challenge and a wonderful view of the city. If you are looking for a more leisurely walk, take a hike in Morgan Creek Park, which is particularly beautiful around the time of your birthday when the trees in the arboretum are blooming. 

Taurus

Alternatively, you can check out the upcoming concerts at the Opus Concert Cafe and Orchestra Iowa. Free concerts happen throughout the summer months at NewBo City Market. And you also shouldn’t miss out on Jazz Under the Stars at the end of the summer season. 

Cancer

A visit to the National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library will also prove interesting as you learn more about the city’s heritage and connection to the wider world. 

Capricorn
