Arizona’s Governor, Katie Hobbs, has announced a new partnership between LG Energy Solutions and Central Arizona College in Apache Junction as the fourth of six total workforce accelerators. Launched under the Future48 Workforce Accelerators program, the initiative fosters an innovative path for industry leaders and community colleges to train Arizonans for jobs in advanced manufacturing.

Finding its roots in Governor Hobbs’s commitment to workforce development, this latest addition is a testament to the state’s continuous job growth. “Our community colleges are critical institutions to the success of our state, and I am excited for the students at Central Arizona College to take advantage of this exciting new opportunity”, said Governor Hobbs. “I want to thank LG Energy Solutions for partnering with us and for continuing to support our efforts to strengthen Arizona’s workforce.”

The Future48 Workforce Accelerators program, which launched in June 2023, has three other accelerators located at Arizona Western College, Mohave Community College, and Maricopa County Community College. Further initiatives by Governor Hobbs such as the BuildItAZ Initiative, which aims to double the number of apprentices in the state by 2026, and the creation of the state’s first-ever semiconductor apprenticeship programs, have all contributed to Arizona’s historic job numbers.

These efforts are part of a larger strategy led by Governor Hobbs to position Arizona as an ideal place to live, work, and raise a family, reinforcing the state’s commitment to strengthening workforce development and supporting industry-community college partnerships.
